01 Empty library

The library is divided into three; the service, the display of the books and the extra facilities. The second part is most dominant and presents itself as very solid and safe. It's almost literally a rock. When the visitor enters the rock it is totally void, this void explains the library functionally and organizes it spatially. The third part draws the visitors’ attention through a vertical opening in the wall of the rock. It is almost hidden but the light, which enters the rock through the opening, invites and draws attention.
